Floaty McFloatFace: Just Keep Floating

My submission for the 2024 Uncrank'd Game Jam. 

Help Floaty McFloatFace travel as far as possible on his treacherous floating adventure. Float a little further by collecting the Float Bubbles and avoid any stray push pins. Individual runs are short and can be picked up and put down easily.

Controls: 
Change size by turning the Playdate Crank (Or scroll wheel in the PD Simulator)

How to play:
Being a balloon, Floaty's movement is a bit floaty, they will wobble through the air as they go up and down. Floaty will float by making him bigger and sink by making him smaller. Change Floaty's size to avoid obstacles and collect bubbles, however, the smaller Floaty gets, the more they wobble.

Collect Float Bubbles to fill the Float Gauge - when depleted, Floaty will begin to sink and become harder to control. Try to squeeze out extra distance before sinking!

All programming done myself, hand pixelled art in Procreate, sounds & music made using Pico8.

Notes: Features in-game instructions screen. High scores are currently not saved, maybe I'll add that in the future. (I've just been writing them down on a post-it note)
